1:1 coaching

My coaching will provide you with support, depth, and accountability, while also helping you gain clarity, enhance your skills, and overcome obstacles.

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching “as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”


I am passionate about helping people discover and connect to what’s most important to them so they can live a meaningful and successful life based on their definition of those words. My clients build resonance, clarity, and strength through the coaching process.

My coaching style has a playful and authentic essence, reflecting two of my strongest values. It is important to me to bring a lightness to my sessions in a way that allows clients to lean into spaces that may be uncomfortable. Also, my value of connectedness shows up in the relationship that is built between me and my client. Almost nothing is as important as the connection we have to grow together.


I take people on a journey to the world of, “I am enough; I have everything I need; I am whole.” Do you want to go? I will walk with you.


No, I do not have a niche; I coach humans, not topics. I believe we are whole beings and what is happening in one aspect of our lives - such as career, relationships, money, health - affects all aspects of our lives. No matter your goals, I am ready to go on a transformative journey with you to unlock your full power.


Here is the difference using a metaphor of “learning how to ride a bike”:

  • A Counselor/Therapist approach: Walk up to the bike and ask, “How are you feeling about this? What previous experience has led to this moment? Okay, let’s work through that so you can learn how to ride this bike.
  • A Consultant approach: “So, this is the bike you want to ride? Okay, I have ridden one like this and here is the best advice and information I can give you…Now you try and I’ll give feedback.”
  • A Coach approach: “Okay, hop on. I’ll hold the seat while we figure out together the best way for YOU to ride this bike. I’ll be here with you to deepen the learning until you are ready for me to let go.”

Consulting

With over 20 years of leadership, training and development, and facilitation experience, I work with groups and teams to unlock their power using an experiential learning philosophy, facilitation skills, and a coaching mindset.

Helping groups discover their own best path to success has been a theme throughout my career. I have used a “human first” approach to shift culture and be an active change agent in my own organizations. When working with groups, I use my vast experience to create a dynamic and professional development opportunity while holding the primary goal as helping your team discover their unique qualities and characteristics. I can share what I’ve learned along the way, but ultimately want my groups to discover their needs. For example, accountability is a foundational aspect of any healthy organization. However, how your organization practices accountability could be unique based on your resources.


My facilitation and training style is dynamic, active, and evokes transformation. I use a playful philosophy to get people out of their heads, into the learning process and to build connections with each other. This experience creates synergy in which the group is greater than the sum of the individuals.


I am willing and able to design an experience customized to your team’s needs and goals. We could choose a particular topic for a short period of time or design an all-day workshop with a larger agenda. Some examples of topics I’ve been hired for include:

  • Leadership skill development, such as communication, relationship building, and accountability

  • “Difficult” conversations
